Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of Kasgot organic fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth and production of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moenc). This research was conducted in the Islamic University of Riau's dormitory grounds, conducted for 4 months from March to June 2022. This study used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design which consisted of two factors. The first factor is the dose of cassava organic fertilizer (K) consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 0.75, 1.5 and 2.25 kg per plot. The second factor is NPK 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 3.75, 7.5, and 11.75 grams per plant. Each treatment combination consisted of 3 replications, each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants were used as observation samples. Parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvesting age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit. The result data were analyzed statistically for variance and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. From the results of the study it was concluded that the interaction of cassava organic fertilizer and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, flowering age, harvesting age, number of fruits per fruit, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit. The best treatment is organic cassava fertilizer 1.5 kg/plot and NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 11.75 g/plant. The main effect of real cassava organic fertilizer on all observation parameters, the best treatment was cassava organic fertilizer 1.5 kg/plot. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment of NPK 16:16:16 was 11.75 g/plant.
