Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of boiler ash and grand-K fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot. This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, KM 11 No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study lasted for 4 months starting from May to August 2022. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor of Boiler Ash (A) consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely (0), (0,3) (0,6) and (0,9) kg/plot. The second factor of grand-K (G) fertilizer consisted of 4 levels of treatment, namely 0, 15, 30 and 45 g/plot. Parameters observed were plant height, harvest age, number of tubers, wet tubers weight, dry tuber weight, tuber shrinkage, fruit diameter and tuber weight. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of Boiler Ash and Grand-K fertilizer had an effect on all observation. The main effect of boiler ash and grand-K fertilizer had an effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment with boiler ash 0,9 kg/plot and grand-K 45 g/plot fertilizer.
