Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of fern leaf bokashi and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and yield of green bean plants. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, No. 113 Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. When this research was carried out for three months from August to October 2022. This study used a Completely Randomized Factorial Design with two factors. The first factor was fern leaf bokashi (B), consisting of 4 levels namely 0, 500, 750, 1000 g/plot. The second factor is NPK 16:16:16 (N), consisting of 4 levels namely 0, 15, 30, 45 g/plot. So that there were 16 treatment combinations with three replications, so there were 48 plots. Each plot consists of 8 plants and 2 plants as samples so that the total plant is 384 plants. Parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate, number of root nodules, age of flowering, age of harvest, weight of dry seed planted, and weight of 100 dry seeds. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the interaction effect of fern leaf bokashi and NPK 16:16:16 significantly affected all parameters except harvest age and weight of 100 dry seeds. The best treatment was fern leaf bokashi (1000 g/plot) and NPK 16:16:16 (45 g/plot). The main effect of fern leaf bokashi significantly affected all observation parameters with the best treatment of 1000 g/plot fern leaf bokashi. The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 has a significant effect on all observed parameters except harvest age. The best treatment NPK 16:16:16 45 g/plot.
