Abstract

This research is motivated by the development of information technology in the field of education, one of which is Augmented Reality technology that can be used as a medium for introducing geological engineering study study equipment to the public, especially teenagers. Technology such as Augmented Reality can be used as a promotional medium because it can display 3-dimensional objects from laboratory equipment using cameras. To build this augmented reality learning media application using the Unity game engine and using the ARCore SDK library. Based on testing at a distance of 5 cm to 200 cm the application can still be displayed, and the minimum distance that can be detected by the markerless track is 5 cm. Based on light intensity testing the animation can be displayed outdoors or indoors and can track any location with a minimum light intensity of 20 lux. Based on the user test results obtained a value of 81% so that this application can be implemented as an introduction to geological engineering study study equipment using augmented reality.
