Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the Response of Cucumber Suri (Cucumis mel L. var. reticulatus naudin) to the Application of Bokashi Water Hyacinth and NPK Grower. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The study was conducted from March to June 2022. The design used was a factorial complete randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor was bokashi water hyacinth (B) and the second was NPK grower fertilizer. The application of water hyacinth bokashi fertilizer consisted of 4 treatment levels namely 0, 500, 1000, 1500 g/plot and NPK grower consisted of 4 treatment levels namely 0, 5, 10, 15 g/plant. Parameters observed: flowering age, harvesting age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per plot, average fruit length, ratio of male and female flowers, fruit diameter. The research data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ follow-up test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of water hyacinth bokashi and NPK grower had a significant effect on flowering age, harvesting age, number of fruits, fruit weight per fruit, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per plot, sex ratio of male and female flowers, and diameter. fruit. Given for the best treatment is the dose of water hyacinth bokashi 1.5 kg/plot and NPK grower 15 g/plant. The main effect of water hyacinth bokashi was significant on all observation parameters with the best treatment being 1.5 kg/plot. The main effect of NPK grower fertilizer was significant on all observed parameters with the best treatment of 15 g/plant.
