Abstract

The Contribution Of Limb Muscle Explosive Power To The Speed Of Pencak Silat Athlete’s Sickle Kicks Student Activity Unit Islamic University Of Riau The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the speed of sickle kicks of pencak silat athletes at the Student Activity University Islamic Of Riau. The type of this research is correlation. The population and sample in this study were 16 athletes from the riau islamic university student activity unit. The research intrument used was the leg muscle explosive power test and sickle kick speed test. The data analysis technique used is the correlation value test. Based on the result of the research that has been done, it can be conclude that from the calculation result it is know that the correlation calue of the exlposive power of the leg muscles to the result of the standing broad jump with a value of r count = -0,075 with a value of r table = 0,497 so that there is a contribution of 55,96%.
