Abstract
Well X is an old well that is no longer economical and will be closed. The closure of well X will be done by Squeeze Cementing using the Hesitate squeeze method. This squeeze cementing work was performed at intervals of 1208 – 1216 ft and 1230 – 1238 ft. There are several methods of squeeze cementing including high pressure technique, low pressure technique, Bradenhead Method, Retrievable Squeeze Packer Method and Hesitation Squeeze. This Squeeze Cementing method is carried out on this well due to a decrease in production and the closure of the perforation zone which is already unproductive. Squeeze Cementing planning is carried out on well X in the SPR Langgak field by collecting well data, processing data and calculating cementing designs. It is expected that the planning will be successfully implemented and successfully close the unproductive perforation zone on well X. After the squeeze cementing work is carried out, it can be seen that the amount of cement sack used in well X is 96 sak. The assessment of the CBL – VDL results after squeeze cementing is predominantly good bonding value but not optimal because there is still a bad bonding interval that causes cement to be less than perfect. The increase in the value of the production flow rate after squeeze cementing increased by 7.64 bopd and water cut decreased by 3.04%
