Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effect of BAP and NAA on Mahkota Nanas Suska Kuala. This research was carried out at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113, Perhentian Marpoyan, Air cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from March to August 2022. The design used in this study was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the BAP concentration consisting of 4 levels without treatment, 0.1 ppm, 1 ppm and 10 ppm and the second factor was the NAA concentration consisting of 4 levels without treatment, 0.1 ppm, 1 ppm and 10 ppm, each treatment consisting of 3 repetitions to obtain 48 experimental units. In the experimental unit there were 4 plants and 2 were used as observation samples taken randomly to obtain 192 plants. If the calculated F is greater than the F table, then continue Duncan's test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of BAP and NAA administration to pineapple crown explants in vitro significantly affected the growth percentage of explants, the number of leaves treated with BAP 10 ppm and NAA 10 ppm and the number of roots treated with BAP 1 ppm and NAA 10 ppm. The main effect of BAP was significant on the age of shoot emergence, age of root emergence and the number of roots with the best treatment of BAP 10 ppm. The main effect of NAA was significant on the age of shoot emergence, root emergence age and the number of roots with the best NAA treatment of 10 ppm.
