Abstract
Gas sweetening is a process of processing natural gas into even better gas or gas which is often called sweet gas because the acid content has been reduced or even removed in the gas sweetening process. In this study "Analysis of Gas Sweetening with Alkanolamine DEA as an Absorbent for Separation of CO2 and H2S from Natural Gas Using a Simulator" Due to problems caused by CO2 and H2S, it is necessary to separate CO2 and H2S from natural gas. The solvent used in this analysis is alkanolamine DEA ( diethanolamine) because DEA has a faster absorption rate than MDEA and has a better ability to absorb CO2 than MEA and is not as corrosive as MEA. In this study it was found that alkanolamine DEA was able to maximally separate gas CO2 and H2S using the Aspen Hysys simulator.Sweetening gas, sour gas, chemical absorption, DEA
