Abstract
The aim of the research was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of mangosteen leaf compost and phosphorus fertilizer on the production of cucumbers. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jln. Kaharuddin Nasution KM 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. The study was conducted for 4 months, from January to April 2022. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was factor T (mangosteen leaf compost) which consisted of 4 treatment levels and the second factor was G (phosphorus fertilizer) which also consisted of 4 treatment levels so that there were 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications, so that 48 experimental plots were obtained, each plot consisting of 4 plants and 4 plants as samples, so that the total number of plants was 192 Cucumber plants. The interaction of mangosteen leaf compost and phosphorus fertilizer had a significant effect on flowering time, harvesting time, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, number of fruit per plot, fruit weight per plot, and fruit weight per fruit. The best treatment was mangosteen leaf compost 3 kg/plot and phosphorus 7.50 g/plant. The main effect of mangosteen leaf compost is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is mangosteen leaf compost 3 kg/plot. The main effect of real phosphorus fertilizer on all parameters observed. The best treatment is phosphorus fertilizer 7.50 g/plant.
