Abstract
Comparative Analysis of Post-Covid-19 Palm Oil Farmer’s Income in Gema Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency Under the Guidance of Dr. Ir. Ujang Paman Ismail, M.Agr. Oil palm farming is the main economy in Gema Village, after the Covid-19 pandemic, the community is still tried to run their business. This study aims to analyze: (1) Characteristics of Farmers and Farming profiles, (2) Costs, Income and Efficiency of Oil Palm Farming Post Covid-19, (3) Comparison of Income of Oil Palm Farmers Before and After Covid-19. The method used in this study was a survey method and was conducted in Gema Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar District, Riau Province. This research was conducted for 6 months started from January 2023-June 2023. Sample handling was carried out by means of a census where there were 30 oil palm smallholders and all of them were used as samples. The data used in this research comes from primary data and secondary data. The type of data used consists of quantitative and qualitative descriptive data. Based on the research results, the average age of oil palm farmers in Gema Village is 44.87 years, ranging from 33-57 years, the average length of education is 9 years, 12.3 years of business experience, 5 family dependents, business profile of farmers oil palm with a land area ranging from 1-8 hectares, the status of land ownership is self-owned and the source of capital used is from own capital and loans. From the results of the farming analysis, the costs incurred by farmers were Rp. 9,902,842/ha/year before the Covid-19 pandemic and Rp. 11,197,013/ha/year after Covid-19. The gross income received before Covid-19 was Rp.17,942,825/ha/year and after Covid-19 it was Rp.26,320,544/ha/year. The net income received by farmers was Rp.8.052.983/ha/year before Covid-19 and Rp. 15,123,531/ha/year after Covid 19. With an efficiency of 1.81 before Covid and 2.35 after Covid-19 19. Based on the income difference test using the Wilcoxon match pairs test, it is known that there is a difference in income before and after Covid-19, meaning that there is no decrease in income because the downstream palm oil industry continues to move so that the price of palm oil tends to increase.
