Abstract
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EMOTIONAL MATURITY AND MARRIAGE SATISFACTION IN TWO CAREER COUPLES Qoniatul Maghfiroh 198110141 FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY RIAU ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY ABSTRACT One's goal in marriage is to have a good life, a strong economy, be happy, and have children. Marriage is closely related to one's emotional and physical life, and can bring happiness and satisfaction to individuals. Both husband and wife will find marital satisfaction in a strong and successful marriage and family life. Emotional maturity is an important factor in achieving marital satisfaction. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between emotional maturity and marital satisfaction in two-career couples. This research is a type of correlational quantitative research. The research sample consisted of 200 married couples in Bungaraya District, Siak Regency, which were taken using a probability sampling technique, with a simple random sampling type. The research data was obtained using a marital satisfaction scale with 15 valid items and an emotional maturity scale with 12 valid items. The analytical method used is Product moment. The results of the data analysis test stated that there was a positive relationship between emotional maturity and marital satisfaction with a correlation coefficient of 0.518 and a significance of 0.000?0.05.
