Abstract

The aim was to determine the relationship between arm muscle strength and reaction speed to the accuracy of table tennis backhand strokes in female athletes of PTM Indah Megah. This type of research is a double-correction study. The population in this study were PTM Indah Megah athletes as many as 12 people. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a total sample of 9 women. The research instrument that the researcher uses is a hand dynamometer test, a falling ruler test, and a table tennis backhand accuracy test. Based on the calculation results obtained rx1y = 0.27, the value of rx2y = 0.044 and the multiple correlation value is rx1x2y = 0.29. The conclusions of this study are: (1) there is no relationship between arm muscle strength and table tennis backhand accuracy in female athletes of PTM Indah Megah. (2) there is no relationship between reaction speed and accuracy of backhand strokes in women PTM Indah Megah. (3) there is no relationship between arm muscle strength and reaction speed to the accuracy of backhand strokes in female athletes of PTM Indah Megah.
