Abstract

ABSTRACT Wahyu Candra, 2023. Contribution of Leg Muscle Explosive Power and Speed to HIMSSI eSA Pencak Silat Side Kicks, Bukit Batu District. The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power and speed to the side kicks of the HIMSSI eSA pencak silat, Bukit Batu district. This type of research uses correlational research. The population and sample in this study were 12 HIMSSI eSA pencak silat athletes in Bukit Batu district. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded in this study that: There is a correlation that is not significant between leg muscle explosive power against side kicks of 1.21% with rcount = -0.11 and rtable = 0.45. There is a significant relationship between the speed of the side kick of 1.93% with the result of the rcount value = 0.14 and the rtable value = 0.45. There is a contribution of leg muscle explosive power and speed to side kicks of 7.02% with rcount = -0.27 and rtable = 0.45. Thus it can be concluded that the results of the contribution of leg muscle explosive power and speed to the side kick of the HIMSSI eSA Bukit Batu pencak silat with a significant level in the low category
