Abstract

M. Andrian, 2022. The Contribution Of Leg Muscle Power And Balance To The Sickle Kicking Ability Of The Athlete Pencak Silat Perguruan Tapak Suci Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of leg muscle power and balance to the sickle kicking ability of the Pencak Silat Athletes at Tapak Suci College, Rokan Hilir Regency. The type of this research is multiple correlation. The population and sample in this study were the pencak silat athletes from Tapak Suci Rokan Hilir, totaling 19 people. The research instrument used was a vertical jump test, a balance test and a sickle kick ability test. The data analysis technique used is the multiple correlation value test. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that (1) There is a contribution of leg muscle power to the sickle kick ability of the pencak silat athlete Tapak Suci Rokan Hilir by 48.58% with an r count of 0.697 > r table 0.514, (2) There is a balance contribution on the sickle kick ability of the athlete pencak silat Tapak Suci Rokan Hilir by 36,48% with an r count of 0.604 > r table 0.514, (3) There is a contribution of leg muscle power and balance to the sickle kick ability of the athlete pencak silat Tapak Suci Rokan Hilir by 54, 02% with r count of 0.735 > r table of 0.514.
