Abstract

This study aims to produce postnatal traditional medicinal herb modules for the Malay community in Seberida District as teaching materials on biodiversity material for class X SMA. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the 2013 Plomp Model, this model is composed of 3 phases, namely: preliminary research, development or prototype phase, and assessment phase. phase), but is limited to the development or prototype stage. The subjects in this study were 15 students from each school with a total of 45 students while the subject of data collection on traditional medicinal plants was village midwives. The results of the study at the stage of the types of traditional medicinal plants of the postnatal Malay community in Seberida District, there were 16 traditional medicinal plants used as medicinal herbs for postpartum mothers. The results of the module development research show that the validity quality of teaching material modules based on the results of validation from material experts is included in the very valid category with an average of 92.01% (very valid), the validation results of learning experts are included in the very valid category with an average of 87, 5 (very valid), the results of the validation by media experts were in the very valid category with an average of 89.58 (very valid), and validation by three biology teachers got an average percentage of 98.88% (very valid) and the test results try on students get an average of 94.27% (very good), based on some of these categories, it can be concluded that the learning modules developed are very valid and can be used as teaching materials that can help the learning process of students.
