Abstract

Lake Koto Kari irrigation area, Kuantan Singingi Regency is one of the areas that has rice filds with an area of 79 hectares. This irrigation area is experiencing problems in providing, irrigation water where this irrigation area has not been able to get irrigation water evenly. This study aims to analyze the water demand, channel discharge, water availability, water balance, and channel dimensions (primarychannel, secondary, tertiary). The method used to calculate evaporation is the Hargreaves method. Analysis of water needs using several patterns alternative plants, namely alternative plan I (early planting in February) alternative plan II (early planting in March)alternative plan III (early planting in April) and alternative plan IV (early planting in May) which is planned to be planted twice a year (IP 200). Analysis of water availability using a simple water balance method (Simple Water Balance), Analysis of water balance using the comparativ method. Channel dimension analysis using Stickler method (Trapezoid) and Manning method (Square). From the results of the evaporation analysis with an average value of 1596,084 mm/month. The water requirement is Irr= 2,950 l/s/ha with an average water availability of 893.316 m³. Plan debit ????? = 0,411 m³/s analysis result of channel discharge ???????? = 0,430 m³/s, so that it can be know ???????? ? ?????. So it can be concluded that the overall irrigation network of Lake Koto Kari is able to meet the water needs of an agricultural area of 79 hectares. Lack of irrigation water is caused by water loss in several rice fields, which occurs due to seepage and leaks in the primary channel segment so it is necessary to analyze water loss in the Koto Kari irrigation canal.
