Abstract

The Badak Intersection – Tenayan Pekanbaru Industrial Estate Intersection is a connecting road to reach the office location from the main Hangtuah Ujung road. This road has a length of 2.75 Km which is located in Sail Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The Badak Road is also a route to tourism locations in the area and the entrance to the Tenayan Raya PLTGU. This road has many bends that are classified as extreme. Extreme bends usually have large centrifugal forces and small radii. The solution to reduce the large centrifugal force is to increase the radius of the bend and reduce the design speed. Another thing that becomes a problem on this road is the side barriers at every bend, the obstacles in question could be bushes, trees, or people's houses that make the visibility of the bend invisible. The purpose of this study is to analyze how road geometry conditions are safe for road users to pass. This study will analyze horizontal alignments with the full circle, spiral circle spiral, and spiral spiral methods. Furthermore, vertical alignment based on RSNI No. 14 of 2004. Based on the study, the horizontal alignment at the reviewed point were PI.7, PI.9 conditions are not in accordance with the standard and PI.18 was based on RSNI. The length of the straight section for the reverse-direction joint bend is 12.50 m, which is under 30m. In the vertical alignment the change in slope(A) at the reviewed point exceeds the permitted standard based on the speed used at which 8%. Evaluation results were obtained at all three horizontal alignment review points obtained a full circle bend type with Vr=30 km/h with R=50 m and 70 m for PI.7 and PI.9, while Vr=50 km/h with R=200m for PI.18. The length of the straight section of the joint bend is 30.11 m. The vertical alignment of PPV STA 0–425 got an Lv of 160 m and (A) of 6.36%, while PPV STA 1–950 got an Lv of 142 m with (A) 5.65% which was already in accordance with RSNI T-14-2004. For traffic volume, the value of 5456 smp/day with the highest peak on Thursday was 5831 smp/day and the lowest on Sunday 4665 smp/day.Geometric of Road, RSNI T-14-2014, Horizontal Alignment, Vertical Alignment, Traffic Volume
