Abstract

The increase in the status of the Puri Husada Tembilahan Regional General Hospital (RSUD) from a type D hospital to a type C hospital, by Decree of the Minister of Health No. 193/MENKES/SK/II/1993, dated 23 February 1993, the increase in status affected water demand sanitary clean. This has an impact on the quantity and continuity of clean water in the buildings in the hospital environment. Meanwhile, the availability of clean water for hospitals is currently sourced from regional drinking water companies (PDAMs) and drilled wells in capacity and facilities which are very limited. This limited clean water needs to find a solution by exploiting the potential of rain through the rainwater harvesting method. Rainwater harvesting is one of the efforts to conserve water, so that it can cover water shortages. This study aims to determine the discharge of rainwater runoff used for clean water sanitation (washing, bathing and toilet) and determine the capacity of the reservoir.. The method for calculating the frequency distribution of rainfall uses the Log Person-type III method and to obtain Q Runoff a rational formula is used, the runoff discharge for the 2-year return period is 0.004438 m3/second and the 5-year return period is 0.005018 m3/second. seconds while the need for clean water is 0,002957m3/second. So that the amount of rainwater that can be accommodated is 63,821 m3 or 63,821 liters. Planned Ground Reservoir 1 unit with a capacity of 84 m3 with a size of 7 x 3 x 4 meters.
