Abstract

In the early stages of building a building, the foundation is one of the initial works to be carried out in the field. The foundation as the basis of the building must be strong and sturdy. To determine the bearing capacity of a single pile foundation, a static method can be used based on CPT data and supported by a dynamic pile testing method, namely PDA as a calibrator for the analysis results of the static method to make it more reliable. In the construction of the Pelita Indonesia campus in Pekanbaru, one of the buildings to be built is the rectorate building, which uses a single pile foundation with soil testing data carried out, namely CPT (sondir) and dynamic pile testing data, namely PDA. The purpose of this study is to determine the types of soil in each layer, from CPT data using the Robertson and Campanella (1986) method. Obtain the results of the analysis of the support strength of a single pile static method from CPT data using the formulas of Schmertmann & Nottingham (1975), Meyerhof (1983), and Wesley (2012). Knowing the ratio of ultimate bearing capacity (Qu) By static method to the PDA test results. In this study, the CPT and PDA test points in the rectorate building to be analyzed were taken at the closest test point distance, namely at the CPT S1 and PDA AS7D points. Based on CPT S1 data using the Robertson and Campanella (1986) method, it was found that the dominant type of soil layer was clay with a percentage of 68%. From the analysis of ultimate bearing capacity (Qu) By static method based on the fs approach and fs CPT S1 data, Wesly's formula (2012) gives the ultimate bearing strength value greater, while the Schmertmann & Nottingham formula (1975) gives the ultimate bearing strength value which is the smallest of the methods other static. From the ratio values obtained, the results of the analysis of ultimate bearing capacity (Qu) By static method based on the fs approach and fs CPT S1 data using the formula Schmertmann & Nottingham (1975), Meyerhof (1983), and Wesley (2012) have a greater value, which is more than 1 times the value of the ultimate bearing capacity of the PDA AS-7D test results.
