Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of coconut dregs and urea fertilizer on the growth and treatment of pakcoy mustard plant yields. This research has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 2 months starting from March to April 2022. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the dose of coconut pulp waste (A) consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 24, 48, and 72 g/plant and the second factor is the dose of Urea fertilizer (N) consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 0.4, 0.8, and 1.2 g/plant so that there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there were 48 experimental units. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, plant wet weight, and economic wet weight. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the level of 5%. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the interaction effect of coconut dregs and urea has no significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was the combination of 72 g/plant of coconut pulp waste and 1.2 g of urea/plant. The main treatment of coconut pulp waste had a significant effect on all observation parameters with the best dose of 72 g/plant. The main treatment of urea had a significant effect on all observation parameters with the best dose of 1.2 g/plant.
