Abstract

The development of an increasingly advanced era makes women have the same opportunities as men in developing their potential, including married women. A working wife is a career woman for reasons not only of economic demands but by but by doing a job, she can optimally actualize the potential that exists in her. However, the wife will spend a lot of time away from the house if she works. This also refers to how a husband perceives his working wife. The process of obtaining information through the five senses and converting it into knowledge or opinions about various things is known as perception. The purpose of this research is to describe how the husband's perception of working wife. This study uses a qualitative research methodology with a phenomenological approach. For data collection using interviews and observation. Research informants are 4 people with the technique of determining informants using purposive sampling. The findings revealed different attitudes of husbands toward working wives, including the belief that working wives have both positive and negative aspects, dissatisfaction when wives work after hours, joys and sorrows experienced, types of support offered, the reason for working wives, and the consequences felt.
