Abstract

Dental anatomy is the study of the depiction or reconstruction of the structure of human teeth. Getting to know the anatomy of the teeth is important because teeth play a vital role in chewing food. By knowing the anatomy of the teeth, you will know the function of each part of the teeth so that you are more aware that dental health needs to be maintained. Based on the experience in nature Drg. Wandiny from the YLPI Pratama Clinic Pekanbaru, because of the limited teaching aids and educational media they have, very often patients fail to position due to dental conditions which have problems understanding. This study discusses Dental Anatomy including visual depiction of baby teeth in 3D, visualization of adult teeth in 3D, numbering or nomenclature of baby and adult teeth, visualization of roots in children's and adult teeth, various forms of teeth, parts of the tooth structure including enamel, dentin , pulp chambers and root canals along with information about the anatomy of teeth when they grow and fall out in humans. This application uses the ARCore SDK library and displays 3D with a markerless technique. With the markerless method, a marker is not needed to display 3D animated objects, only by using the markerless 3D Object Tracking method or using real object sensors as a reference for displaying 3D virtual objects. The results of designing this application are 14 3D objects as reference material for understanding human dental anatomy for both children and adults. Based on tests conducted on prospective patients, this application is able to display 3D dental anatomy objects which can help understand human dental anatomy and are also in the process of displaying 3D objects optimal light for displaying objects is 50 lux if the intensity of the light is dim (<50 lux) then objects will not appear.
