Abstract
This article discusses the development of animation-based learning videos on the three-dimensional material of class XII SMA. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of developing animated video-based mathematics learning media using adobe after effect on the three-dimensional material of class XII SMA. This research is an R&D study that uses the Plomp model, namely preliminary research, development or prototyping, and assessment phase. This development research involved class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru as research subjects. Animated video-based learning media was declared very valid with a result of 71, very practical with a result of 57.4 and was declared effective for improving student learning outcomes. This states that animation-based video learning media is good and worthy of being used as a mathematics learning media.
