Abstract

Language is a useful tool for communicating between one individual and another. One example of a regional language is the Banjar language, in which the Banjar language is the daily language of the people in Indragiri Hilir. However, there are still many people who have not mastered the Banjar language, especially regarding terms in the Banjar language. And also many who can't speak Banjar fluently because they don't really understand the vocabulary and terms in the Banjar language. One way to learn Banjar is to use a dictionary. This study aims to introduce regional languages to the general public, especially the Banjar language with the aim that the Banjar language can be easily recognized by the general public using the Android application and the help of the GoogleTrans API. Based on tests that have been collected from the public, it is known that the application designed is useful in terms of knowing the Banjar language
