Abstract

ANALYSIS OF LEARNING DIFFICULTIES FOR CLASS IX STUDENTS AT SMP NEGERI 04 KUNTO DARUSSALAM, ROKAN HULU REGENCY ON THE MATERIAL OF POWERS AND ROOT FORMS IN VIEW OF STUDENT LEARNING STYLES. Ayu Endang Apriani NPM: 186410547 Thesis of Mathematics Education Study Program FKIP Islamic University of Riau. Supervisor : Drs. Abdurrahman, M.Pd ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the analysis of class student learning difficulties IX SMP Negeri 04 Kunto Darussalam, Rokan Hulu Regency on material the rank and form of the root in terms of student learning styles. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The subject of this research is class IX students A SMP Negeri 04 Kunto Darussalam as many as 28 students. Data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is analysis descriptive. The results of this study indicate that class IX A students have auditory learning style by 50% of class IX A students prefer to learn with how to listen, discuss, and what is said by the teacher. Difficulty learning experienced by students in terms of rank and root form in terms of student learning styles are: (1) students with a visual learning style experience difficulties in solving verbal problems and the factors that cause difficulties learning namely the lack of motivation and people's lives; (2) students with style auditory learning experience difficulties in solving verbal problems and factors that cause learning difficulties, namely lack of attitude; (3) students with style kinesthetic learners have difficulty in solving verbal problems and factors that cause learning difficulties, namely how parents educate.
