Abstract

The purpose in this research examined to know the development and appropriateness of education play tool (APE) rotating alphabet to improve pre-reading ability for 5-6 years children. This research method used research and development (RnD), where it would create a product and it could measure the effectiveness of the product itself. Data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative. Data analysis to product appropriateness used result evaluation that was got from product design expert and material expert in questionnaire instrument, product development that found was education play tool (EPE) rotating alphabet that was made from woods and pictured sticker in size 60X60 cm and it was used as learning media to improve pre-reading ability for 5-6 years children. Product design validation classified into “very usable”. Also, in material validation showed “very appropriate”. Both of result showed “very usable”. Therefore, the development of education play tool “rotating alphabet” was very useable to improve pre-reading ability for 5-6 years children.Education Play Tool Development, EPT Rotating Alphabet, Pre-Reading
