Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has opened up significant opportunities for delivering campus information virtually. This study aims to develop and implement a web-based virtual tour system using 360° panorama at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Islam Riau (FT-UIR), in order to provide an interactive experience for prospective students and the general public without the need for an onsite visit. The system was developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, which consists of six stages: Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing, and Distribution. The results show that the virtual tour system is capable of displaying various campus facilities—such as buildings, laboratories, auditoriums, and faculty offices—virtually through a web platform. Evaluation using the Black Box method and user questionnaires yielded positive results, indicating that the majority of respondents found the system helpful and were satisfied with the information provided. This system is expected to serve as an effective and efficient digital promotional and informational tool for FT-UIR.
