Abstract

THE EFFORT OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION TEACHER IN BUILDING STUDENTS’ DISCIPLINE CHARACTER AT YLPI SCHOOL (SDIP) MARPOYAN PEKANBARU Hak My 192410381 In Islam, character was fundamental problem to build characteristic ummat, so that, Islamic education teacher could create discipline character. Besides, the symptoms in this research explained some students chat when teaching and learning happened, some students often came late. Some students debate with others students. Some students littering. Some students speak harshly, some students eat and drink while standing some students did not greeting while meeting teacher. The purpose in this research examined to know the effort of Islamic education teacher in building students’ discipline character at elementary school of Islamic plus YLPI Marpoyan Pekanbaru. This research was qualitative research to get data in this research. Data collection technique used interview and documentation. After collecting data, it was analyzed with data reduction, data display, data verification, and drawing conclusion as follow: first, learning in the class suitable with syllabus, RPP, and learning method. Second, following offline class; curriculum, RPP and learning method. Third, through extracurricular activity such as Islamic mentoring and scout. Fourth, through learning in classroom; curriculum, RPP and learning method. Fifth, through exemplary and teacher became direct model toward what teacher did consisted of came to school on time. Sixth, through behavior method such as routine activities, fence picket, implementing 5S, praying and recite Al-Qur’an together every starting class, Dhuha Prayer, Shalat Dzuhur together and Shalat Ashar together and others activities.Discipline Character, Effort
