Abstract

THE EFFECT OF USING COOPERATIVE MODEL JIGSAW TYPE TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ SKI MATERIAL ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION AT ISLAMIC JUNIOR HIGHS SCHOOL 3 SOUTH COAST REGENCY BY: ZUKHRUFA ELDA 192410008 This research was motivated by some learning method that could be used in learning to improve achievement motivation. One of them was jigsaw cooperative model. The purpose in this research examined to know the effect of implementing jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ class VIII achievement motivation about SKI material at Islamic junior high school 3 South Coast. This research used correlational quantitative method. The subject in this research was students class VIII at Islamic Junior High School 3 South Coast, and the object in this research was the effect of cooperative model jigsaw type on students’ class VIII achievement motivation of SKI Material at Islamic Junior High School 3 South Coast. The population in this research was 222 students with 143 students as sample. Data collection technique used questionnaire, observation, and documentation. Based on data analysis that was done, it was known that there was any effect of cooperative model jigsaw type on students’ class VIII achievement motivation of SKI material at Islamic Junior High School 3 South Coast. It was known from simple linear regression data analysis with significant score 0.000, and 0.000 was smaller than 0.05 and the hypothesis was accepted. The influence of cooperative model jigsaw type in 0.132 or 13.2% in category very low, because it was in range 0.00-0.199 that was stated in correlation coefficient interpretation table, meanwhile others 86.8% was influenced by others factors. It meant that the hypothesis was accepted, the relationship level between cooperative model jigsaw type and students’ achievement motivation of SKI material at Islamic Junior High School 3 South Coast classified into very low category.
