Abstract
THE INFLUENCE OF ACTIVE LEARNING STRATEGY ON STUDENTS’ CLASS VII SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION LESSON AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 12 PEKANBARU BY: SITI AISYAH SOFIANIS 182410221 This research was motivated by lack of students’ social intelligence, it was signed by some students were lazy in study. So that, to increase students’ social intelligence in Islamic education lesson was needed active learning strategy. The purpose in this research examined the influence of active learning strategy on students’ class VII social intelligence in Islamic education lesson at Junior High School 12 Pekanbaru. The formulation of the problem in this research questioned was there any influence of active learning strategy on students’ social intelligence in Islamic education lesson at junior high school 12 Pekanbaru and how much influenced by this factors. The subject in this research was students class VII at Junior High School 12 Pekanbaru. The method used in this research was quantitative with correlational approach. The population in this research was 230 students with sample in 146 students. This research consisted of two variables that were; active learning strategy (variable X) and social intelligence (variable Y). Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. This research finding showed that there was any influence of active learning strategy on students’ social intelligence in Islamic education lesson at junior high school 12 Pekanbaru. It was known by simple linear regression analysis with significant score smaller than 0.05 where 0.000 < 0.05 and the hypothesis was accepted. The score of active learning strategy influence on students’ social intelligence was 0.986 or 98.6% and it was in very strong category because it was in range 0.80-1.000 that stated in correlation coefficient interpretation table. Meanwhile, 1.4% was influenced by others factors. It meant that the hypothesis was accepted and the relationship level between active learning strategy and social intelligence in 0.993 or 99.3% was in very strong category Active Learning Strategy, Social Intelligence
