Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between peer social support and quarter life crisis in students of the Islamic University of Riau. Students are in the early adult development phase, which is an age that is vulnerable to experiencing quarter life crisis due to academic pressure, social expectations, and uncertainty of the future. Social support from peers is considered to play an important role in helping students deal with these pressures. By interacting with peers, they can share experiences and stories, and make them feel supported in going through their difficult times. This study was conducted on 378 students of the Islamic University of Riau, using a quantitative method with a sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The correlation coefficient value was obtained at (r) = -0.568 with a sig. value. 0.000 <0.05, these results indicate that there is a significant negative relationship between peer social support and quarter life crisis in students where the higher the peer social support received, the lower the level of quarter life crisis experienced by students.
