Abstract

The background of the study is the problem of the students’ morals at SMPN Gambut Mutiara in Teluk Meranti, Pelalawan Regency. The problem formulation of the study: how is the moral level of students at SMPN Gambut Mutiara in Teluk Meranti; what is the level of Islamic Studies learning at SMPN Gambut Mutiara in Teluk Meranti district; and is there any influence of Islamic Studies learning on students’ morals at SMPN Gambut Mutiara in Teluk Meranti district?. The aim of this study is to investigate the level of the influence of Islamic Studies learning on students’ morals at SMPN Gambut Mutiara, Teluk Meranti, Pelalawan Regency. This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach. This study has 81 samples. The data collection technique of the study is questionnaires, the data analysis technique is through the normality test and the simple linear regression test. The results of the study show that the level of influence of Islamic Studies learning on students’ morals at SMPN Gambut Mutiara of Teluk Meranti district, Pelalawan Regency is in the low category. The influence of Islamic Studies learning on students’ morals at SMPN Gambut Mutiara of Teluk Meranti district, Pelalawan regency show that the significance value of 0.000. The magnitude of the influence of Islamic Studies learning on students’ morals is (0.233 or 23.3%) which is in the range (0.20 – 0.399), which is included in the category of a low level influence. The regression coefficient of 0.394 (X) can be predicted if the Islamic Studies learning is used, it will increase the students’ morals by 0.394. Conversely, if Islamic Studies learning is not used, it can be predicted that it will decrease the students’ morals by 0.394. Islamic Studies Learning, Students’ Morals.
