Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the communication between teachers and students at SMK Nurul Falah, Senapelan district, Pekanbaru. This research is a descriptive research. This study aims to systematically and accurately describe facts and characteristics about the population or about a particular field. Data was collected through interviews and observations and then compiled in the form of a research report. The results of the research that has been done, it is concluded that the communication process has been running smoothly between teachers and students. The clarity of the language used is clear and easily understood by students in learning activities carried out through 2-way communication, the information that the teacher provides to students is appropriate or on target where the implementation of communication in learning activities is carried out in accordance with the planning that has been designed and compiled The context of the information that the teacher conveys to students is both appropriate and relevant. The flow of language and information conveyed by the teacher to students has been effective where in its implementation the delivery of information is in accordance with the right flow, starting from the opening of the initial introduction to new teaching materials and then proceeding to core learning. Aspects of using local languages in learning communication activities in schools are not only related to language and information but also related to manners and ethics.
