Abstract

THE ROLE OF BAITUL MAAL WA TAMWIL (BMT) INDRAGIRI FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (MSMEs) IN RENGAT DISTRICT RIAN ANDI SAPUTRO NPM: 152310135 BMT Maal Wat Tamwil is an institution or Islamic financial institution whose main business is collecting funds from third parties (deposit members) and channeling financing to productive and profitable businesses. Baitul Tamwil's sources of funds come from public deposits (third party funds) which include savings, time deposits, capital and other deposits and do not conflict with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations. The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of BMT Indragiri in developing MSME businesses in Rengat District. This research consists of 4 dimensions, namely building and developing potential, strengthening the people's economy, trying to realize national economic development, Maintaining community economic justice. This research method uses qualitative analysis and the data used are primary data and secondary data. The subjects of this research are MSME business actors in Rengat District. Data collection techniques in this study using interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that from all aspects that are applied (building and developing potential, strengthening the people's economy, trying to realize national economic development, maintaining community economic justice) BMT Indragiri has performed its role well in Rengat district. However, from these four aspects, the role of BMT has not been carried out properly is to maintain the economic justice of the community and there is still no equality for MSME actors in Rengat District.Role, BMT, MSME Development
