Abstract

The Notion Of Consumer Protection is contained in article 1 paragraph (1) of law no. 8 of 1999 concerning consumer protection, namely "all efforts to guarantee legal certainty to provide protection to consumers". According to the Decree of the Minister of Health concerning hygiene and sanitation requirements for restaurants and restaurants, chapter 1, article 1, paragraph 4, it is explained that food sanitation hygiene is an effort to control factors of food, people, places and equipment that can or may cause disease or health problems. As for the problem in this research is First, How is the implementation of consumer protection as a result of not implementing food sanitation hygiene based on Law no. 8 of 1999 (Case Study Restaurant Restaurant Pekanbaru Campus). Second, what are the inhibiting factors in the implementation of consumer protection due to the non-implementation of food hygiene based on Law no. 8 Year 1999 1999 (Case Study Restaurant Restaurant Pekanbaru Campus). This study uses the Sociological Legal research method (empirical) or observational research which is descriptive in nature. Analysis is research that collects data by going directly to the field. The location chosen to conduct the research was at the Marpoyan Dam Campus Resto, Pekanbaru. The results of the research and discussion are as follows: first, the form of protection provided to consumers in food sanitation hygiene is seen from several aspects of protection, namely the protection provided by the Resto Campus, the Consumer Party, and the Health Office. Second, the obstacle factors given to consumers in food sanitation hygiene are seen from several aspects, namely from the Campus Resto, the Consumer, and the Health Office.Consumer protection, sanitation hygiene, food
