Abstract

College students face problems from negative interpersonal relationship interactions that will have a negative impact on physical and psychological aspects. To overcome this problem, female students need a coping strategy. One of the positive coping strategies, namely religious coping, is a way for students as their beliefs in managing stress and problems in their lives. An example of religious coping is performing religious activities such as praying, performing rituals that can increase faith, making religious teachings a guide, and seeking support from others who also perform religious activities. This study aims to determine the description of religious coping by praying as a way to be able to impact change, especially in female students. The informants in this study amounted to three people. This research uses a qualitative research method descriptive study approach with data collection techniques structured interviews and observation. The results of this study indicate that informants feel that prayer has a good impact on physical health, especially on body health, psychological health, especially in overcoming stress. The three informants also felt calm when facing difficulties and felt close to Allah.
