Abstract

Final year students are prone to psychological problems such as excessive stress, anxiety and depression. This is related to many factors such as academic demands, preparation for entering the workforce, and quarter life crisis (QLC). Individuals who experience QLC they tend to doubt themselves, feel helpless, stressed, emotionally unstable, feel fear of failure, and easily alienated. This study aims to determine the relationship between husnudzon and quarter life crisis in final year students at Riau Islamic University. This study involved 402 samples of final year students at Riau Islamic University who were selected using cluster random sampling technique. This study uses quantitative methods where the measuring instrument used is the husnudzon scale compiled by Rusydi (2012), and the quarter life crisis scale developed by Habibie, et al (2019). Based on the results of the Spearman's rho correlation test analysis, the correlation coefficient (r) = -0.550 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) was obtained. This shows that there is a significant negative correlation between husnudzon and quarter life crisis in final year students at Riau Islamic University. The higher the husnudzon, the lower the quarter life crisis of final year students and vice versa, the lower the husnudzon, the higher the quarter life crisis of final year students.
