Abstract

Adolescence is between childhood and adulthood so that adolescence is also called a transitional period, during this transitional period adolescents are also very susceptible to being carried away by the flow of peer friendships. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between peer influence on delinquency. youth against juvenile delinquency. The sample in this study were 178 students of SMK X Rokan Hulu. Data collection techniques in this study using cluster random samplingwith the data collection method that uses the juvenile delinquency scale consisting of 28 items and the peer influence scale consisting of 18 items. The results in this study indicate a statistical analysis testSpearman's Rho that there is a significant positive relationship between peer influence on juvenile delinquency with a significant r value of 0.180 with 0.017. This means that the higher the peer influence, the higher the juvenile delinquency.
