Abstract

Analysis of Interpersonal Communication Skills of Parents with Children Addicted to Playing Online Games Pubg Roni Aldi NPM : 189110025 Online-based games are well used as alternative players for refreshing. This game is also effective for getting rid of boredom due to quite boring daily activities such as studying, working, and so on. Sometimes players play this game just to fill their spare time. However, the interaction of students who often play online games affects the ability to interact in communicating with people outside of online game play to be different. There are even children who are very difficult to interact or communicate with. Low interaction from students who are addicted to online games will trigger an indifferent attitude towards fellow friends and even hurt friends. Children who are addicted to online games will find it difficult to communicate, especially if what is being discussed has nothing to do with the game they are playing. This study aims to find out how the interpersonal communication skills of parents and children who are addicted to playing the online game PUBG. The research method used is a qualitative method. The subjects in this study were parents who had children playing the online game Pubg. From the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the interpersonal communication skills of parents and children aim to find out the interpersonal communication of parents and children in playing pubg online games. In interpersonal communication skills, the parents who do it to children are intensive enough to be seen by using the characteristics of interpersonal communication skills, but the child as a communicant does not always respond to what is conveyed by his parents.
