Abstract

Resilience is the ability to bounce back from adversity and become stronger after going through a crisis. Optimism is expecting a favorable outcome. This research was conducted at Plaza Sukaramai Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between optimism and resilience in employee at Plaza Sukaramai Pekanbaru. The sample in this study were 90 respondents from Plaza Sukaramai Pekanbaru. Data analysis was performed using correlation pearson product moment techniques. Based on the results of the analysis using the correlation pearson product moment technique, this study shows that there is a positive relationship between optimism and resilience employee in Plaza Sukaramai Pekanbaru as indicated by the value r = 0.104 of p = 0,331. This shows that there is no significant relationship between optimism and psychological resilience in the employees of Plaza Sukaramai Pekanbaru.
