Abstract
This study aims to analyze Persuasive Communication Techniques in Preventing Verbal Bullying Behavior at SDN 138 Pekanbaru City. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Researchers used observation, interviews and documentation to collect the data needed in this study. Based on the results of the research and discussion that has been done, the researchers concluded that education staff or teachers at SDN 138 Pekanbaru had used persuasive communication techniques to prevent verbal bullying behavior. These techniques are association techniques, integration techniques and reward techniques. Persuasive communication techniques that are suitable for preventing verbal bullying behavior are by using association techniques, integration techniques and reward techniques. Where association techniques can tell things that are being discussed by the general public, especially with the fast flow of information in the internet era like today. Then the integration technique, where the teacher can mingle with students, is familiar with students, then motivational messages to students will be more easily accepted. Meanwhile, reward techniques are empowered to grow emotional excitement through rewards and cause emotional tension through punishment given by the teacher.
