Abstract

This study intend to determine the communication between the leader group and the members of the Miracle Pekanbaru team in facing the PUBG E-Sports competition. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects in this study were the Miracle team with a total sample of 4 people. The sample selection used a purposive technique. The theory used in this research is group achievement theory from Stogdill (1959) with elements of input from members, media variables and group achievement. Based on group achievement theory, it was found that within a group will produce actions, interactions, and expectations that are inseparable from each other, but are interdependent so as to create a structure and work mechanism for the achievement of group achievement. By implementing these points by the Miracle team, the group's goal was achieved, which was to win the competition. There are still some communication barriers that occur within the Miracle team, one of which is the slow internet connection and also the brand of the equipment (headset) used that does not meet the desired criteria.
