Abstract
ABSTRACT SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS OF HOUSEHOLD CONFLICT IN THE FILM "DONE" Dimas Anjas Rialdi 169110166 This study intends to find out the household conflicts contained in the finished film. In which there is a scene between husband and wife caused by infidelity in their household. This research focuses on films finished by Roland Barthes analysis. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The subject of this research is the film Done, which was released on August 13, 2021, taken from 8 scenes. Data collection techniques are carried out through documentation and observation. Techniques to check the validity of the data using the participation of researchers and triangulation of sources. This study uses the concept of Roland Barthes analysis which looks at denotation, connotation and myths in the finished film. The results of this study are to present several pieces of the film scene which have household conflicts in the film. Done, this research is examined using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis by looking at signs (denotations, connotations and myths). First, the meaning of denotation in this film is husband and wife in the household, namely Ayu and Broto, who have not been blessed with a child. Second, the meaning of the connotation in this film is the husband's infidelities and the high manipulation of cheating by the wife. And involves a great fight between husband and wife. Every extramarital affair arises due to a cause of incompatibility between husband and wife. So that in a household the importance of communication and a strong mentality. Third, the myth in this film is shown by an excessive obsession with something or someone that will lead to serious consequences. Obsession always makes someone ignore existing boundaries to achieve their goals. Someone will tend to be depressed if the obsession is not achieved.
