Abstract
Equator Event Marketing Communication as a Form of Cultural and Customary Identity in Foldukain Village Melani Rahayu Fitri ( 169110055 ) Marketing communication is the process of promoting a product or service so that it is known and known to many people. Communication is the culmination of a cultural process, where culture is one of the potentials to introduce an area. With communication, the process of promoting the area becomes easier, namely with marketing communication. Marketing communication cannot be separated from the media, so the marketing process can run smoothly. The people of Kampar left named the event the equator because the equator monument is located in the village of foldkain which is the capital of the Kampar Kiri sub-district which is crossed by the equator. This is called In the event the equator, the marketing communication carried out by the event organizing committee is still not effective. This study aims to determine the marketing communication of Kampar left culture and customs as the identity of the left Kampar sub-district through the equator event. in the event equator. This study applies a qualitative descriptive method of data collection by means of interviews and documentation. There were 10 informants in this study. The result of this research is that the marketing communication of Kampar left culture and customs through the equator event is considered to be quite effective, although there are still several inhibiting factors in promoting the event, besides that social media used for promotion is also considered less active, not continuously. ) only at the beginning of the event, after the event, social media was not updated anymore so that the promotion was considered less than optimal.
