Abstract

Adversity Quotient is an individual's ability in how far they are able to face a difficulty they experience and a person's ability to overcome every difficulty they experience. Fighting power has 4 main dimensions, namely control (control), origin (origin) and acknowledgment (ownership), confession (reach), durability (endurance). This study aims to see a description of adversity quotient of students who attend Islamic boarding schools. The subjects in this study were students who attended Islamic boarding schools with a range of grades VII, VIII and IX, totaling 400 people from 2 Islamic boarding schools using the techniquecluster sampling. The measuring instrument used in this research is adversity quotient scale, which consists of 26 items compiled by Sandi (2020). The analysis used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the analysis show that adversity quotient of students who attend Islamic boarding schools is in the high category of 76.8%. Analysis based on the 4 dimensions of adversity quotient found that the highest dimension is the dimension of origin & recognition (origin & ownership) with a value of 54.3% and the lowest aspect is recognition (reach) with value by 50.3%.
