Abstract

Anxiety is an emotional condition faced by every final student who will face the world of work, based on previous research, one of the factors that increase a person's anxiety is a person's low level of self-confidence and anxiety. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in facing the world of work in the final psychology students of the class of 2017-2018, Riau Islamic University. This research is a quantitative study. The population of this study was final year students of the faculty of psychology, Riau Islamic University with a research sample of 205 people. The data analysis technique uses correlation statistics with rho spermen analysis techniques. The results of this study show that there is a negative or significant relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in facing the world of work with a correlation coefesion (r) of -0.403 with a value of p = 0.000 (p<0.05) which means that the higher the level of anxiety of a person, the lower the level of self-confidence of the final student of psychology, Riau Islamic University.
