Abstract

Students who want to leave the regional origin to live in a few months in other areas are called overseas students, the meaning of life is something that is considered important and meaningful for a person's life to give meaning to each sheet of life, while the purpose of this study is to find out how the picture of the meaningfulness of life in overseas students, the subject of this study is rantau students who are in Pekanbaru. The research method used in this study is phenomological qualitative. This method uses research procedure data that produces descriptive data. The collected data takes the form of pictures, words, not numbers. data from interviews, observations, and documentation. This research also uses a phenomological approach to discover the meaning of the fundamental and essential things of realistic phenomena, when conducting interviews researchers have made an appointment in advance to all subjects. Taking the subject of the study used in this study is purposive sampling, namely the system of subject research functions based on characteristics, traits, and population. In this study, data analysis was carried out by following interactive data analysis techniques, research results and discussion of the data obtained as a meaning of life oneverything that is considered important and valuable for the life of the individual. Life satisfaction a person's assessment of the life he lives. The freedom of the individual to feel able to control the freedom of his life responsibly. The appropriateness of the individual's evaluation of his own life.
