Abstract
Hormonal, physical, and psychological changes in adolescents can bring awakening stigma about beauty standards. When not in line with the standard values of beauty and beauty of appearance, adolescents will be stressed if they are constantly being treated with Body Shaming. Body shaming is an act of mocking, judging, or comparing a person’s appearance. The study aims to find out what stress is like in teenage girls which is studyng at senior high school and first level in university who have been treated with body shaming. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative using purposive sampling technique. The number of samples taken was 102 adolescent girls in Pekanbaru. The results showed that stress in adolescent girls who experienced body shaming treatment was at a high level with 39 adolescents (38.2%). Advanced calculation with oneway anova technique against the age difference test results sig value 0.663 which shows that overall there is no significant difference between ages. Similarly, a test of the educational level of sig 0.507 showed that overall there were no significant differences between education.
