Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF ADVERSITY QUOTIENT ON STUDENTS OF FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY, RIAU ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY Siggit Septiandanu 168110219 FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF RIAU ABSTRACK A student faces complex dynamics in his academic journey. Students are faced with various difficulties, challenges and obstacles that can affect their journey to success. Adversity Quotient is an individual's strength that lies in their ability to face difficulties and overcome challenges. This study aims to describe the Adversity Quotient of students of the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau. This study used a descriptive quantitative research method involving 93 student respondents at the UIR Faculty of Psychology who used the accidental sampling technique which is part of nonprobability sampling. The measuring tool used in this study is the Adversity Quotient scale with a total of 16 items. The results of the data analysis showed that 49.6% of the total number of participants were in the moderate category. It can be concluded that the majority of students from the Faculty of Psychology, Islamic University of Riau who have Adversity Quotient have a level in the medium category.
